<\/a><\/a>Kevin Cole<\/b><\/strong> has been programming computers for over 40 years. He is a long-time advocate of Free\/Libre Open Source Software (FLOSS) for all, promoting its use particularly in schools, libraries and community centers. He is currently applying both his audio technology skills and his Python skills to develop a series of Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs) to control a Digital Signal Processor (DSP) being used in hearing loss research. In addition he serves as a mentor to other members of NOVA Web Development. As part of an attempt to move into hardware, he has also recently designed 3D parts for a local hackerspace and successfully coerced an Android infrared camera so that it now talks to a Raspberry Pi.<\/p>\n

<\/h4>\n

<\/a><\/a>Marco Sirabella<\/b><\/strong> works as a Student Assistant alongside Kevin Cole. He assists on the Interactive Learning Environment for Optimizing Technology Use project. Marco has prior experience working on voice recognition for “STACI the Calling Car” at NOVA Community College, where he learned to program in Python.<\/p>\n
